    Session 1: Exploring the Role of the Teaching Assistant

    In this session, teaching assistants will gain a comprehensive understanding of their multifaceted role within the educational setting. They will explore how their position impacts student learning and development, and identify personal career development points and goals. This foundational knowledge sets the stage for effective support and personal growth.

    Session 3: Leading High-Quality Interventions

    Participants will learn how to conduct effective interventions that lead to significant improvements in student learning. The session covers the process of transferring learning from interventions back into the classroom and identifies quick-win support strategies for maximum impact. This knowledge is crucial for ensuring that interventions are effective and sustainable.

    Session 5: Supporting Physical and Sensory Needs

    This session addresses the specific needs of pupils with physical and/or sensory challenges. Teaching assistants will learn methods to improve fine and gross motor skills and how to support hearing and visually impaired pupils. The goal is to ensure that all students receive appropriate support tailored to their unique needs.
